My Digital Studio...

I was playing around the the new digital studio from Stampin' Up! I spent most of the last week watching videos and taking tests so I can be a certified SU demo! I am slowly learning my way around...

did you see the new header on my blog?? I made that thru My Digital Studio...

and here is a Christmas card I made! I am looking forward to receiving in the mail to see how fun it looks! ( I love that SU has partnered up with a printing company to match the exact colors so I can add ribbon, embellishments or ink if I wanted too!!)

Thank for looking!!

A Hostess Thank You!

Tonight is our October Hostess Club meeting and I made this easy Post It note holder for the hostess!

I used 4x4 cardboard and decorated the cover and the back page is just Dusty Durango. I used my Crop a Dile to post 2 holes to tie both sides together.

I really like the black with the Dusty Durango. Very elegant!

I got some crafting in and used the Gifts of Christmas stamp set (thanks Paula for letting me borrow it!!)

I saw a great card in the SCS gallery and basically took off with it. These colors are non-traditional but I just loved how delicate it looks! I made 2 sets of 5 (10 cards) and used markers to color in the stamp. This took awhile but well worth it!!

Hope you enjoy!!

How I watercolored the Fall Basket card...

I was asked how I watercolored the previous card. First, note that this is the first time I have used Watercolor pencils (or the crayons...can't wait to try them out!)

Because I wasn't using my Aqua Pens, I didn't use watercolor paper. I just used Very Vanilla cardstock and Black StazOn ink. If I was getting the paper more wet or going over the color alot, I would have used the special paper so it wouldn't tear.

1. Get out your Watercolor Pencils, Blender Pen and stamped image.

2. I chose the brown pencil and just drew a line where I was going to blend together.

3. I used the blender pen to watercolor the lines.
4. I drew a squiggley around the bottom of the basket to give it dimension and blended them together.
5. I colored the leaves and used the blender pen to finish the leaves (be sure to clean off your blender pen after each color!!)

I have alot to learn and can't wait to try out the crayons!! How fun!!

Hope this helps you get out your watercolor pencils/crayons and blender pens and get craftin'!!

A Basket Full of Thanks!

I started these cards yesterday afternoon and was able to finish them up today!!

I made 20 (4 sets of 5) of these so cutting, stamping and watercoloring did take time.

I was excited to pull out my watercolor pencils for the first time! HOW EASY!! and I just love the Blender Pens!!

Hope you enjoy!!
