technique club thursday

Tonight is this month's Technique Club meeting! It has been a long time since the last one and I look forward to seeing everyone!

This month's techniques are solid stamping, Crystal Effects and monochromatic.

Here is the card using Crystal Effects. Now please note that the red apple has CE on it but I heated it up to dry it and it really changed the color. I left it to show the class. I will redo it to let it air dry!!

The next card is solid stamping. Another fun, easy way to make your cards great!

and finally, monochromatic. This seems like the easiest of all techniques but I had the hardest time coming up with something. I did visit the gallery at SCS for inspiration and that did help!

Thank you and sorry it was a slow week. I have a wedding tomorrow and bday party Saturday but hope to get some new stuff up Sunday!!

It is so easy to make too!! Follow the instructions and enjoy your own Scrapbook in a Box today!

Box Instructions...

1 Sheet of decorator paper - 12 x 12 scored every 4 inches on each side...you can then cut the corners out or score them in half and fold in like I did.

1 Sheet of cardstock - 10 1/2 x 10 1/2 scored every 3 1/2 inches on each side, then cut out corners.

1 sheet of cardstock - 9 x 9 and scored every 3 inches on each side, then cut out corners.

Tuesday --> Technique Tuesday...I will create something using a technique!

Wednesday --> WOW Wednesday...I will create something other than a card or scrapbook page!

Thursday --> Thin Thursday...yes it is my Weight Watchers day but what I mean by thin is using ONLY scraps to create something...I will thin out my scraps!!

Friday --> Family Friday...I will work on the many scrapbooks I have started (my wedding, both the boys...)

Sweet One!!

HI!!

One of my customers is having her baby girl this Friday (err....that is her due date!!) and I wanted to make her a special card!

I took out my So Many Scallops set (retired) and Big Shot (if you don't have one...go to my website and ORDER ONE!!)

I used Regal Rose, So Saffron and Certainly Celery for the colors.

The embossed background and stars were cut with my Big Shot!! LOVE IT!

the circles (stamped image and open circle) were cut with the Circle Scissors Plus. I am still learning to use it so no bashing!!

I had to add the Certainly Celery ribbon to one (i made a boo boo!)

Enjoy!!

The first card uses Lovely Lilac as a base and Cameo Coral as it's main color. You can also see a touch of So Saffron. I also used my Stampin' Up! texturz plates for the embossed background. I LOVE my Big Shot!!

It is Mojo Monday!!

Happy Monday all!!

and that means MOJO MONDAY!!

Today's sketch was fun! I liked the diamond under the square!

I used my Raspberry Tart DSP, Rose Red, Kraft and Kiwi Kiss cardstock and markers and Rose Red ribbon!

I went through a couple of stamp sets to find the "right" one. I had an idea in mind but didn't have a stamp set to accommodate so Pocket Silhouettes worked out instead!

Thanks for looking and check out the Mojo Monday link (click the red above!) and make your own cards! I even downloaded and printed EVERY Mojo Monday sketch and plan to start those!!

See you later!

Refuge and Strength

Happy Sunday!!

We spent all morning and early afternoon outside cleaning up after winter and playing and now just relaxing! I just made up these 2 cards with the Refuge and Strength Stampin' Up! set. Thank you Paula for letting me borrow it!!

I had out some Perfect Plum, Chocolate Chip and Whisper White cardstock so went with those colors. This is one of my favorite Bible verses and I think it all came together nicely!

I used the leaves to watermark the bottom of the card and dimensionals to pop up the cross.

As always, thanks for looking and leaving comments...I enjoy reading them!!

Always enjoy!

Morning!!

I was showing a customer some different techniques and made up this card. Can you tell me the techniques used???

We used the Petals wheel (retired) with Versamark (watermarking) and embossed the bird in white!!

I had a small strip of leftover DSP so I added that for color and as quickly as you read this...a beautiful card is made!!

She enjoyed the embossing!!

I hope you all have a great day!!
