Bright and Cheery Mother's Day!

its a bright and cheery mother's day this year!! I used the In Colors and Razzleberry Lemonade paper on the first 2 cards. I made 2 each of Crushed Curry, Melon Mambo, Rich Razzleberry and Bermuda Bay. Although most were for a friend, i did make these two for me to give!! I stamped the top of the card with Fifth Ave stamp set in each of the colors! I really liked these!!

I CASED this card from StampinAndrea on SCS. I used my polka dot embossing folder to add some dimension to the white background! Simply using 4 markers and colors, this card is bright and cheery!

Thanks for looking and I apologize for how the posts look as I have to work directly through Picasa. I hope to have a fixed comp soon!!

Summer Mini Sneak Peak!!

When I saw the King of the Grill set in the Summer Mini I knew I had to preorder it for my Brother in Laws birthday in May...He loves to call us up and ask to use our grill on nice weekends. They live in a condo and don't have any place to make a good burger or steak!!

I took out my watercolor paper for this card and my watercolor pencils/blender pens!

The basic card is the same as the previous posted but turned on it's side. I stamped the words on Bermuda Bay and punched out with the Arrow punches. The smaller arrow is popped up with a dimensional.

I can't wait to play with some of the other sets I preordered and look forward to ordering more from the Summer Mini...

If you are a customer of mine you should recieve your Summer Mini in the mail in the next few days if you haven't gotten it yet. If you don't have it soon, let me know and I will get you one!!

Happy Stampin!!

My Niece has graduated!!

I am trying to post this from my Picasa account and I hope it works!!

My neice was able to graduate early (beginning of April!) I am so proud of her!

I made up some invites (50 of them!) for her graduation party!! I used my Totally Tess stamp set and Great Grads stamp set (retired) I had to use my Stamp a ma Jig to put the hat on Tess. My sister chose the retired DSP and colors and I think it looks quite girly and stylish!!

I colored her in with blender pens and ink pads. the scallop circles are embossed with polka dots from my Big Shot...

Hope they like them!!

It's a Girl!!

My Cousin (in law) had her first baby this past Monday...A GIRL!! Brooke is just so adorable. I got to meet her on Tuesday night!! It has been a long time since I saw such a tiny baby!! (don't get any ideas!!)

I wanted to bring something for her when I went to visit so "whipped this up" I totally got the idea here from gigs http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/photo/1222324?&si=name%20frame

Mine is a little different since I didn't have a Sizzix branch die...

I left the glass out of the frame to show the dimension! The giraffes were torn from Very Vanilla cardstock, crimpled and used my brayer to add Close to Cocoa ink

Supplies...Whisper White cardstock (used Bashful Blue to make the clouds)
Pretty in Pink, Certainly Celery and Barely Banana cardstock and ink
Cheap Talk, Sanded and Short Order alphabet stamp sets
Close to Cocoa ink and paper
Pretty in Pink ribbon
large and smaller tag punch
Crop a Dile
White Taffeta ribbon

Thanks gigs for inspiration! The total project only took about an hour to make!! Brooke loved it!!

INTRODUCING...

A COLOR RENOVATION

I am so excited to introduce you to a new COLOR RENOVATION! Stampin' Up has announced a huge change to its colors yesterday. While some colors will be retiring, SU is adding new colors...and bringing back some past In Colors for good!! The color families we have grown to love will be changing.

I am saddened that some colors will be leaving but excited to welcome back some of the past In Colors and new colors. I have learned that playing with colors I don't normally use can bring a whole new adventure and love to my stamping. Rich Razzleberry will be staying and that is one color I was unsure of when introduced last year as an In Color...throughout the past year, it has become one of my all time favorites!

I first felt that this was something that I wouldn't like but when I saw the new color palette, I became excited. All the colors work so well together (and how excited am I that Pumpkin Pie and Old Olive are staying!!) I know this means new items...markers, ink pads, paper ect. and I know that I don't need to have it all right away...I can play with some colors and challenge myself to make wonderful cards, projects and scrapbook pages!!

Check out the new Color Collections here...

Say a fond farewell to these colors here...
