a Silly Monkey Scrapbook

I ran across this blog and knew I had to make this scrapbook for my new niece, Mackenzie. My sister loves monkeys and calls her a little monkey so knew she would love it!

Obviously, I used my Cricut for this. All cardstock is Stampin' Up!

Cards and Stamps gift

For Christmas this year, I made my Grandmother-in-law some card packs (5 of each card) and a special case to keep postage stamps in.

I wanted to keep the cards pretty simply so did no layers and stuck with just a handful of colors. I forgot to take pictures before I put them in cellophane so there is a slight glare but you still can see them.

The stamp case was simple to make. I have trouble opening the cases so I added a ribbon to just pull open.

Most supplies are SU (most retired)

Simple Christening

My beautiful niece was christened recently and I sent her this card. I don't have any religious sets so I took an idea I have used before. I made the cross out of a flower and added a pearl to each. I also used shimmery white paper for a more elegant feel. I really liked the way it came out. I kept it pretty simple by embossing the polka dots and adding a strip of silk ribbon.

This was the first time I used the pearls and it really helped make the card!!

It's a GIRL!!

What an exciting weekend in my family! My sister had her first child, a girl! Mackenzie Nicole was born 9 days early but is PERFECT!! She even has a beautiful head full of blonde hair!!

I wasn't prepared...ooops...so this morning I literally whipped up a card in 15 mins before we headed to see her. I found this card on SCS and knew I had the supplies (from an old SSK) so just followed it and this is what I came up with!!


I used some scrap shimmery paper for the center.

Now to finish up on the Christmas gifts...i will have so much to post after Christmas!!

Ornaments a plenty!

I know I haven't posted lately, but I have been crafting. I am working on Christmas gifts so can't post til after Christmas!

I did make these ornaments for my sister for her co-workers. She loved the ones I posted earlier. I used lots of different color re inkers for the ladies and used basic grey for the men. They were so stunning, almost black!

I cut each initial out on cardboard (the cardboard piece from a package of DSP) and embossed them with silver embossing powder. I really liked them as did her co-workers!
